Felted wool, felt, is fascinating: vital, challenging, playful, sacred, sensitive, wild, picturesque and sensual. Felt is fibre magic. It is a superior material which
emphasizes the soul of a room,  or accentuates the personality of the bearer.

My basic material comes from the Nordic sheep races which grow a glossy wool. I blend the wool with other fibres such as peat, sisal, silk, ramie and flax. I often dye the wool, but I
also like to work with wool in its natural state.

I produce thin room dividing fabrics as well as rustic carpets or  3D sculptures.
I work in diverse ways from exhibition pieces to felt wall hangings, sculptural
hats or thin surfaces for accessories and always with great pleasure.

I enjoy the slow working process which gives me time for reflection. The material calls for my concentration as well as for my being sensitive to the nature of the wool itself.  For me it is a dear challenge to work with felt making, one of the oldest textile techniques, and to spread knowledge about it, develop felt making and take part in its renewal.
